ATRIP Success – Cullman County

Cullman County has recently completed their ATRIP-funded road improvement projects and County Engineer John Lang shared the recent project successes at the 2017 ACCA Legislative Conference.  With an annual budget of approximately $8M, ATRIP funding provided the equivalent of 17 years of federal aid with a total of nearly $34M in projects completed.  Cullman County completed 62 miles of road resurfacing and partnered with the City of Cullman and ALDOT to complete an Interstate 65 Interchange at County Road 222 ...

Elmore County – Ingram Road Bridge Culvert Replacement

Two 50+ year-old bridges  were replaced in a 3-month time frame using a unique wing wall design. This project used gabion baskets as wing walls that extended well beyond the culverts tying into natural ground. The gabion baskets provide a space for utilities outside of the construction area and eliminated the necessity to acquire additional right-of-way. Richie Beyer Joins NaCO Board of Directors

Elmore County Engineer Richie Beyer will join the Board of Directors of the National Association of Counties (NACo) today as a representative of the National Association of County Engineers (NACE). He will serve alongside Escambia County Commissioner Larry White and Chambers County Chair Debbie Wood, who represent Alabama as County Commissioner members.
