Elmore County has started phase 1 of a 2 phase project. On Coosada Pkwy, the County has a milling contractor removing the 1” wearing surface with the County retaining 100% of the millings. The County plans to utilize the millings by basing dirt roads and repairing shoulder drop offs on the County’s 1,000 mile roadway system. Phase 2 will consist of a paving contractor placing an 1.5” wearing surface and new thermoplastic traffic stripe in the upcoming weeks.
